Week 1: Introduction to Volleyball

    • Activities:

Week 2: Learning to Pass (Bumping)

    • Objective: Teach the fundamental skill of passing (bumping) the ball.

    • Content:

      • Proper stance and hand positioning for passing.

      • How to absorb the ball’s impact and control the direction of the pass.

    • Activities:

      • Passing drills in pairs using soft volleyballs or beach balls.

      • “Pass and Move” game where children pass the ball and move to a new spot.

 

Week 3: Introduction to Setting

    • Objective: Introduce the technique of setting the ball.

    • Content:

      • Proper hand positioning and body posture for setting.

      • How to push the ball upwards with fingertips.

    • Activities:

      • Setting drills in pairs, focusing on height and accuracy.

      • “Set and Catch” game where one child sets the ball, and the other catches.

 

Week 4: Learning to Serve

      • Proper stance and hand positioning for an underhand serve.

      • Focus on making contact with the ball and aiming over the net.

      • Serving drills, aiming for specific targets on the other side of the net.

Week 5: Introduction to Spiking (Light Hitting)

      • Basic footwork and hand positioning for a spike.

      • Light hitting drills, with instructors tossing the ball for children to hit.
